Institutional Development Plan (2025–2030)

1. Curricular Aspects:-

  • To take initiative for increasing student’s enrolment with the outreach activities with the neighboring feeder school and organizing student’s interaction based on avenues of different courses at Bakshirhat Mahavidyalaya.
  • Organization of workshop for NEP-2020 particularly in feeder layer.
  • Promoting good kind of flexibility under NEP 2020 by providing various minor and MDC subjects.
  • To conduct Academic and Administrative audit initially by the internal audit team and later validate with external expert by the affiliating University for the increase of quality of teaching.
  • To review the existing feedback mechanism by involving all the stakeholders and prompt action taken report will be placed in appropriate agencies.

2. Teaching Learning & Evaluation:-

  • To promote teachers for attending Faculty Development Program to expose them in different modern areas of subject domain.
  • To establish ICT based smart Class Room for innovative teaching & Learning in a phase manner.
  • To implement experimental learning tools in the subject domain.
  • To identify slow learners and provide them remedial coaching within the college campus.
  • To identify advance learners and provide them way to excel in subject domain.
  • To reform evaluation methods at the college level, this supports 360° education concept.
  • Motivating teachers for e content development for MOOCs and Swayam courses in a phase manner.
  • Implementation of innovative teaching methodology through project work/ field work/ internship.

3. Research Innovation & Extension:-

  • To inculcate research culture among faculty members and students.
  • Motivating teachers to take up research projects from various funding agencies.
  • Encouraging faculty for quality research publication.
  • Organization of conferences in contemporary aspects with the collaboration with neighboring educational institution.
  • To promote faculty and students exchange program with other colleges.
  • To develop Institutional and social responsibilities through the activities of National Service Scheme (NSS).
  • To organize outreach program for societal benefits in the adopted villages.

4. Infrastructure & Learning Resources:-

  • To expand & renovate infrastructure as per academic requirement under NEP.
  • Conversion of normal class rooms into smart classrooms 20% in 1st Phase.
  • Renovation of Teachers Common Room, Toilet Blocks and administrative office with fully computerization technology.
  • To procure more computer in library for digital access of the study materials.

5. Student Support & Progression:-

  • To organize the career oriented training programs for the students.
  • Strengthening placement cell for better placement opportunities to the students and tie up with the industries with the establishment MOU.
  • To organize skill development and soft skill training for the students.
  • To run internship facility more perfectly as per curriculum of the NCCF and CBPBU the exposing them in the arena of job market.
  • To guide the students for availability and procedure for various government scholarships.
  • To expand the alumni association by arranging alumni talk and alumni meets regularly.

6. Governance, Leadership & Management:-

  • To implement vision and mission of the college through various activities and programs.
  • Framing of various bodies and sub committees (by Teachers’ council or administrative) in a better way for decentralization of work.
  • Participation of stakeholders (students, parents, faculties, Governing Bodies, Societies) in decision making process.
  • To execute various welfare schemes for staff and students as declared by the State Government.
  • To provide the financial support to the faculty for enhancing the academic excellence.
  • To organize training program for teaching & Non-teaching staff in professional development.
  • To conduct financial audit/ Green Audit/ Administrative Audit on regular mode.
  • To plan for optimum utilization of human/ infrastructural/financial resources.

7. Institutional Value & Best Practices:-

  • To encourage the gender sensitization and gender equality programs.
  • To conduct gender audit.
  • To provide user- friendly environment for differently abled students.
  • To update the code of conduct for faculty and students.
  • Organizations & celebrations of various days & functions to inculcate National among faculty & students.
  • To strengthen and implementation of best practices of the college.
